Building Muscle & Strength for Longevity

BioRevolution is dedicated to building, restoring, and preserving muscle mass and strength for longevity. Our lead program, BREV-100, targets the glycogen degradation pathway to harness the body’s central mechanism of building functional muscle, mimicking the adaptive signals of intense resistance training across multiple muscle wasting diseases, including Glycogen Storage Disorders, Muscular Dystrophies, GLP-1–associated muscle wasting, and Sarcopenia.

The Power of Muscle

Muscle Drives Movement, Metabolism, and Vital Internal Functions. BioRevolution Develops Metabolic and Regenerative Therapies That Rebuild Strength Across Rare and Chronic Muscle Diseases.

50M+

Estimated Number of People Globally Experiencing Muscle Wasting Related Diseases

~40%

Skeletal Muscle Accounts for ~40% of Total Body Mass and Is a Key Regulator of Metabolism, Glucose Homeostasis, and Survival

Muscle Wasting is implicated across multiple indications:

Rare Genetic Disorders

Muscle loss is central to glycogen storage diseases such as Pompe and rare genetic neuromuscular diseases such as DMD, driving progressive and disabling weakness

Chronic Diseases

Muscle loss is a debilitating feature of heart failure, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and type 2 diabetes, driven by inflammation, hormonal changes, and metabolic dysfunction

Treatment-induced

Corticosteroids and chemotherapy cause direct muscle loss, while GLP-1 therapies can indirectly lead to muscle loss via reduced appetite and caloric intake

Sarcopenias

Sarcopenia affects millions, with adults over 35 losing 1-2% of their muscle each year and it accelerates after 60 driving frailty, loss of mobility, and higher mortality

Skeletal Muscle System

Controls movement, posture, and metabolism. BioRevolution restores metabolic balance to maintain lifelong strength.

Respiratory & Diaphragm Muscles

Controls movement, posture, and metabolism. BioRevolution restores metabolic balance to maintain lifelong strength.

Lower Limb & Mobility Muscles

Leg muscles are essential for walking and balance. We target pathways that prevent age- and disease-related muscle loss.

Upper Limb Muscles

Shoulder and arm weakness limits daily tasks. Restoring energy use improves strength, mobility, and independence.

Core & Trunk Muscles

The core stabilizes posture and balance. Improving metabolic efficiency rebuilds functional movement and endurance.

BREV-100 is a First-in-class small molecule designed to break down glycogen accumulation, correct the underlying metabolic dysfunction, and restore functional muscle strength Starting with Pompe disease

Our initial focus is on Pompe disease where glycogen accumulation impairs muscle function leading to severe disability and premature death. Ultimately, we aim to expand to broader indications characterized by metabolic defects (e.g., autophagy block, glycolysis defects in DMD), impaired proteostasis and mitochondrial dysfunction (sarcopenia), and energy restriction with reduced anabolic signaling (GLP-1–associated muscle loss).

BREV-100 is a first-in-class oral small molecule designed to address Pompe disease by:

Break down glycogen accumulation

Restore normal metabolic function

Promote functional muscle rebuilding

Mechanistically complement ERTs

GOAL TO Advance BREV-100 into the clinic through a streamlined, capital-efficient development plan
